Choices in our lives.

When GOD places two choices before each one of us we should pay attention. They are simply blessings or curses, life or death. The choices seem clear and very important to our life, but we make thousands of choices everyday. Then week after week, month after month till the years seem to pass and habits form and we become deceived by the choices we make. I see that this deception is so blinding that people even try to lead others into their deceptions by proclaiming that their curse is a blessing. Is it up to you or me to say what a curse is and what a blessing is? No, not at all. It is GOD himself who states in the Bible that Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth and the life.” Have we started with the most important choice a person can make in their life time? It is this choice that breaks the chains of habits in our lives and allows us to be overcomers. It is this choice that gives us the free gift of eternal life. What a blessing!!! This is the essences of this illustration (Deuteronomy 30: 19) two trees are placed before you, one dead and one alive. The storm ravages around both pouring water and wind upon them both. The water for the living tree produces more growth, but there is no effect of life by watering a dead tree. The wind as well sways the live tree and removes the chaff and gives it room for new growth, but the dead tree only breaks apart. We can do nothing without Jesus that will last for eternity and bless our lives here and now. GOD said in this verse to “chose life” and this we should absolutely do without delay. I for one know the blessings in my life and I stand upon my knees and with uplifted hands thanking GOD and giving Him all the glory. All good and perfect gifts come from above. What a blessing to know the living GOD and walk with Him every day.
